How do you handle money mgmt in trading?
I've been diving deeper into trading lately, and I’ve realized that managing my funds is just as important, if not more so, than picking the right trades. I’ve been keeping an eye on my risk-to-reward ratio, but I still feel a bit lost when it comes to setting my stop-losses and the amount I allocate to each trade. Some say 1% of your total account, while others recommend a bit higher. What’s worked for you? Do you have any tips or strategies that have helped you maintain a healthy account balance? I’d love to hear your experiences and learn from the community!

I totally get where you're coming from! I started by risking 1% of my account per trade, and it really helped me stay calm during downswings. I've also found using a trailing stop-loss can lock in profits while giving your trades a chance to run. It’s all about finding what fits your style, so keep experimenting and adjust as you learn!
I totally get where you're coming from! For stop-losses, I usually set them based on support/resistance levels rather than a fixed percentage. As for position sizing, I stick to the 1% rule, but I sometimes go a bit higher if I have a strong conviction about a trade. It's all about finding what feels right for your trading style. Keeping a journal to track what works and what doesn’t has also helped me a lot. Good luck!
I totally get where you're coming from! Managing risk is crucial. I personally stick to the 1% rule for stop-losses, but I also consider the volatility of the asset I'm trading. It helps to find that sweet spot where you're comfortable but still giving yourself room to breathe. Diversifying your trades can also relieve some pressure, allowing you to learn from multiple positions without risking too much on one.
