Is regulation hurting or helping us traders?

I've been hearing a lot of chatter about new regulations coming into play for trading platforms, and honestly, it's got me a bit worried. On one hand, I get that it’s meant to protect us and keep the markets fair, but on the other hand, it feels like it could stifle some of the opportunities we have to profit. Have any of you noticed changes in how you trade since these regulations started rolling out? Are they making it harder to execute certain strategies, or do you think we just need to adapt? I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences. Do you feel more secure, or do you think the fun of trading is getting a bit squeezed out?
