Is it a good time to invest in Telecom Service Stocks?

I’ve been keeping an eye on telecom stocks lately, and I’m torn about jumping in. On one hand, the demand for connectivity keeps increasing, which seems like a solid long-term play. Then again, I see a lot of mixed signals about competition and regulatory pressures. Some of my buddies swear by certain companies, while others are really skeptical about the whole sector right now.
