Is trading option stocks a good move right now?

I've been dipping my toes into trading and have been hearing a lot about option stocks lately. Some friends swear by them, saying they can really leverage small moves in the market, while others warn about how risky it can be. I’m trying to wrap my head around the strategy and risk management involved.
