What’s the Deal with a Diversified Portfolio?

Hey everyone, I've been hearing a lot about the importance of having a diversified portfolio, but I’m curious about your thoughts and experiences with it. I've tried to spread my investments across different sectors and asset classes, but sometimes it feels overwhelming. How do you guys figure out what to include?

Do you focus more on stocks, bonds, and maybe some real estate, or do you throw in some alternative investments like crypto or commodities? I want to make sure I'm not putting all my eggs in one basket, but I also don’t want to overcomplicate things. Any tips on how to find that balance? Would love to hear what’s worked for you all!
