Is investing in beta stocks a good strategy?

I've been hearing a lot about beta stocks lately and I'm a bit confused about how to approach them. Some say they're a great way to gauge market volatility, while others warn that they can be pretty risky. I get that a high beta means a stock is more volatile, which can really spice up a portfolio, but then again, that volatility can also lead to some nasty losses. Have any of you had experience with beta stocks? Do you find them useful for your trading strategy, or do you prefer to stick with more stable options? I’m trying to figure out if I should include beta stocks in my next moves or if I should just play it safe. Would love to hear your thoughts!
