Is Fair Value Really Just a Guess?
I've been diving into the concept of fair value lately and I'm curious how other traders interpret it. It seems like such a subjective area, and honestly, it sometimes feels like we’re just throwing darts at a board. When you're evaluating a stock, how do you determine its fair value? Do you rely more on fundamental analysis, like earnings and cash flow, or do technical indicators play a role for you?
I've seen people come up with wildly different valuations for the same stock, which makes me think there’s a lot of wiggle room in this whole fair value thing. I'm trying to sharpen my own approach, so any tips on how you guys gauge fair value would be really helpful! Do you use models, or is it more gut feeling for you?

Fair value really does feel subjective! I lean more on fundamental analysis—looking at earnings and cash flow—because that gives a more solid base for valuation. Sometimes, I throw in a bit of technical analysis just to gauge market sentiment. It can be wild how varied the estimates are, but I think it's about finding a balance between data and your instincts. Models can help, but they’re not everything!
