What Are Your Thoughts on Crossover Strategies?

I've been diving into different trading strategies lately, and the whole crossover concept keeps popping up. I get that it involves moving averages crossing over each other, but I'm curious about how effective it really is in practice. Have any of you had success using crossover signals in your trading?

I’ve tried a few paper trades based on moving average crossovers, but I’m still on the fence about it. Sometimes it seems like it works well, and other times it feels like I’m just chasing the market. How do you guys set up your crossovers—do you stick to short-term averages, or do you mix in longer ones? Any pitfalls I should watch out for? Would love to hear your experiences and any tips you have!
