Investing.com – Russia stocks were lower after the close on Sunday, as in the sectors led shares .At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia Index unchanged 0.00% to hit a new 6-months low. The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia Index were ROSSETI PJSC (MCX:FEES), which unchanged 0.69% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.06 at the close. Meanwhile, LUKOIL PJSC (MCX:LKOH) added 0.69% or 33.50 points to end at 4,858.50 and Magnitogorskiy Metallurgicheskiy Kombinat PAO (MCX:MAGN) was up 0.45% or 0.10 points to 22.46 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Federal Hydro Generating Company RusHydro PJSC (MCX:HYDR), which unchanged 0.62% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.38 at the close. Polyus PJSC (MCX:PLZL) declined 0.57% or 11.80 points to end at 2,052.20 and VK Company Ltd (MCX:VKCO) was down 0.36% or 0.85 points to 234.00. Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 123 to 108 and 11 ended unchanged.
The Russian Volatility Index – RVI, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was unchanged 0.00% to 24.56. Gold Futures for August delivery was down 3.10% or 139.70 to $4,365.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 2.69% or 2.50 to hit $90.54 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 2.04% or 1.94 to trade at $93.09 a barrel.USD/RUB was up 0.41% to 73.70, while EUR/RUB fell 0.36% to 84.91.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.67% at 100.05.
