Is GAAP Stock a Good Long-Term Investment?

I’ve been hearing a lot about stocks that follow GAAP principles lately, and I’m curious about what others think. It feels like there’s this divide between GAAP and non-GAAP reporting, and I'm not entirely sure how it affects stock performance in the long run. Some people say GAAP-compliant companies are more transparent and reliable, while others insist it can be limiting and doesn’t reflect true growth potential. Have any of you had success investing in GAAP stocks? Do you think they really provide a safer bet compared to their non-GAAP counterparts? I’m thinking of adding a few to my portfolio, but would love to hear your insights and experiences first!
