Is a Defensive Fund Worth Considering Right Now?

I've been hearing a lot about defensive funds lately, and I'm curious what you all think. With the market feeling a bit shaky and inflation still being a concern, I wonder if this might be a good time to shift some of my investments into a more defensive strategy. I know these funds usually focus on stable, less volatile stocks, which sounds appealing, but I'm not sure if they can really provide the kind of returns I'm looking for.
