Is a Growth Fund Worth the Hype?

I've been hearing a lot about growth funds lately and I'm curious what everyone thinks. I get that they’re supposed to invest in companies that are expected to grow at an above-average rate compared to others, but I'm wondering if that’s really the case in today's market. Do you think they’re a smart move, especially with all the volatility going on?

I’ve been considering adding one to my portfolio, but I’m a little nervous about the risks involved. Have any of you had good or bad experiences with growth funds? What factors do you look at before jumping in? Would love to hear your thoughts!
