Is disclosure really that important in trading?

I've been diving into different trading strategies lately and keep coming across this term "disclosure." It seems like it pops up everywhere, from earnings reports to insider trading discussions. I get that transparency is key, but I wonder how much it really impacts our decisions as traders.

For instance, when a company discloses their financials, do you find it changes the way you approach potential trades? Do you think the level of disclosure can actually make or break a stock's performance? I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences. Do you pay close attention to it, or do you feel it’s just one of those things that gets too much hype? Looking forward to hearing what you all think!
